Heel Condoms!

I'm sure most of you already know about my passion for shoes AND accessories. When I saw these accessories for shoes I was so excited. They're a little over the top, but I love how different they are. Not to mention what a fun yet sometimes awkward conversation piece this would be haha!

Anyway, this made me smile so I had to share it with the rest of you (Yes I'm assuming it's mostly women out there reading my blog)!
Want to snazz up your stilettos and protect your heels from damage? Hello. What girl doesn't?

Get yourself a Heel Condom!

They slip over the heel of your high heels to transform your shoes. What girl doesn't love an inexpensive way to get mulitple looks from a pair of basic heels they may already have laying in their closet.

These can be found at

Friday Inspiration! They call me Dr. Love

Leo F. Buscaglia said this. I thought it was funny that he was known as Dr. Love. He was a tireless advocate of the power of love! Well I LOVE love so this made me happy :)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Food Abroad

We sat at the table enjoying our bar snacks and sipping cocktails while waiting for our dinner reservations at The Reef. The sound of the ocean waves made it seem like nobody was on the island except for me and him. All we could hear was the wind and the waves. It was a week of newly wedded bliss. I was now his wifey and he was my hubby.

ok ok yes this post is about delicious food abroad and because I've been missing the Maldives so much lately. I would give anything. I mean anything. to go back there! Just to have that feeling of being so far away from reality, where you can do a three hundred and sixty degree circle and see nothing but water around you.
That night, we were walking from the bar on the end of the island to The Reef for dinner and got a peak into one of the other restaurants where they had amazing food sculptures. The guy who did them every night was so funny and humble. He honestly thought his intricate food sculptures were no big deal but they were pieces of art. Being the mouth from the south I had to find out who made these sculptures so we went into the restaurant, met the guy, gave him some high 5's and snapped some pictures!
This is the artist himself! I look a bit rough (Dont Hate.) We were definitely not on the way to dinner the night I got a pic with him. It was after we'd been at the beach all day of course, of course ;)
And since we're talking about food, how about a little icing on the cake? More pictures of Kuramathi Just. For. Fun.
At the tip of the island, the most romantic spot there, the waves crash in opposite directions. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen!
OH Just our over water villa. Ahhmazing!
Now you see why Im spending the day dreaming of Maldives.

So, I haven't posted any pictures of my furry little baby Maddie in quite a while. She's certainly missing the attention so I figured it was time I put her in the spotlight!
Here she is in all her tennis-ball-loving glory...
AHH Her ears! I love Maddie's ears. They're the softest thing in the world. She hates to have them touched though :( I wish she wasn't so sensitive about it. LOL

Unfortunately, she tires quickly these days LOL OH How I love Her!
How can you not? Look at that face :-)
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Friday Inspiration! Follow your Bliss.

Thank God it's Friday right?!!
I just love this quote and wanted to share it with you. It really got me thinking.
What do you want to be when you grow up? Are you living your dream?
Unfortunately, most of us will spend years and years of trial and error and discovering ourselves trying to figure out what we want in life. What we really love. What we're called to do!
Sometimes we need to Let GO + Let LIFE!

Fancy Candle.

A quick, easy, and inexpensive way to beautify your basic candle or votive holder. I snapped a few pictures of the supplies needed and the final product! It turned out super cute.

Basically you just wrap a piece of paper around the glass and trim it to fit evenly. Cover the glass in a thin and even coat of Modge Podge (which I believe is a fancy name for Elmer's Glue but maybe I'm wrong). I chose not to cover the entire glass in M.P. because it's unnecessary. Instead I just did it in two or three different spots.

The next thing I did was cut a paper doily in half and modge podge it to the paper. Let that dry. You're pretty much done. I chose to add a little twine and sweet message to mine just to personalize it.

The end product. They turned out super cute! These would be perfect for a little house warming gift or just for fun. You could go a little bit further and make a match box to match (did I just use the same word twice?) but I didn't have any...we just have the match books which aren't as fun. Blaw!

*Please share pictures if you decide to make these!! I'd love to see em.
