Nick + Nate on Safari at Big Ken + JuJu's

My husband is from Chattanooga, TN so we love making a trip there to see his family any time we can. Nick + Nate's Birthday was no exception. They are my husband's ADORABLE twin nephews who just turned 2 years old!! We hadn't been at Joel's parent's {Ken + Judy} very long when the Birthday boys themselves made an appearance. And they were ready to play.

First, we made our way to the creek via Radio Flyer where throwing rocks and making the water splash was quite the entertainment. But that didn't last for long. Soon they needed to water all the flowers, trees and bushes with the water hose. And man did they do a good job. Who do you think keeps this landscape looking the way it does?

A trip to Big Ken and JuJu's wouldn't be complete without lawn mower racing! The boys made their way up the path, across the garden and to the shed for "the mower and John Deere".  Being the BEST poppi ever, "Big Ken" fired up the lawn mowers and before long they were cruising around on the zero turn radius mowers like little race car drivers. Joel had Nick and Ken had Nate. Just the four of them. Not a care in the world.

Friday Fashion!

I wanted to change it up a little and share a few things I found on the web that I love.
These bow ties are beautiful. I would love to dress Joel in these everyday {if only he'd let me} Forage Bow Ties from {The Curiosity Shoppe}

I just love this cosmetic line I found. I have never used it, but can't wait to try it!It's called Paul & Joe. Everything is packaged in a way you can't resist. It has a 'I am a glamorous movie star from the 30's' kind of feel that makes it irresistible.
Golf shoes with some soul! These are almost enough to make me want to take up golfing. If I EVER went golfing with my hubby I would have to own a pair of these adorable golf shoes. Love them!! Wait until you see the other styles and colors they have. Adorable.

MORE GREAT FINDS TO COME!!! HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE...

A Day at the Park with my Sweeties!

This Kentucky rainy weather is about to drive me crazy! I feel like it has rained for literally 2 weeks straight. I'm so ready to spend a hot sunny day at the park with my hubby & Maddie. I thought I'd share some pics of the day I have in mind. These are from about 3 weeks ago when we spent the day at Lincoln Ridge Park in Independence. We spent the entire day just laying on a blanket relaxing. Ahh, come on weather. Give me another day like this!!!
Hope everyone's week is off to a great start!!

Hello Bride-to-Be's!!

I don't even remember what I was searching for on the internet when I came across this gorgeous dress! It was one of those days when your searching for something and one thing leads to another & before you know it you're so completely lost in the web you don't even remember what your initial search was. But, I'm not complaining, because finding this dress was so exciting. A dramatic & modern gown made of delicate organza fabric and completely affordable. Yumm :) All the perfect ingredients for a bride's dream dress. Here is just one fabulous piece from the White by Vera Wang 2011 Collection

Coming across this gooorgeous gown made me think of my wedding dress and how much I loooove it. Yes, present tense. I looove my dress and wish I could wear it somewhere again! Ill never forget how exciting it was to shop for a gown. My mom and future mother in law was with me and we went to Bridals by Lori in Atlanta, Georgia. I actually got to meet the designer, Lazaro. He was so nice & helped me find the perfect accessory for my dress {my silk sash covered in fresh water pearls, yes please!}
He did a little sketch of my dress for me to frame {I kept it hidden forever because I didn't want Joel to see it & actually forgot about it until now} I need to get that sucker out & frame it. It's too cool to leave stored away. Anyway, trying on dresses. The FUNNEST shopping experience I think I've ever had. I wish I could do it again :) OHH! Also, when I was there they were filming for Say yes to the Dress, ATL and I was interviewed and used for a VERY BRIEF clip on the introduction to the show. Emphasis on 'very brief' haha but still, how cool is that.
Here is my dress, I am in love with it to this day!!
 Here is the sketch Lazaro drew for me!

Ok I could show off my dress for days. I just love it.
Happy weekend everyone!!
